ABOUT US
Triton Kids was founded in 2018 by Will Lopes as a channel of connection between Iowa Central Community College and the community. Now in its third season, Triton Kids is partnering with the Fort Dodge Fine Arts Association to continue to enrich the lives of young singers in grades 2 through 8 from Fort Dodge and surrounding communities.
Every week, singers from the Webster County area join in rehearsal to explore, create and share the love of singing and music in a fun and friendly environment. Triton Kids (TK) is an auditioned ensemble and auditions are held the first week of September and the first week in January. Many singers join the ensemble through recommendation from their school music teacher and returning students.
MISSION: Triton Kids aspires to provide music education and performing opportunities to young singers by nurturing their talents and building an environment for creativity, leadership, and musical excellence to flourish.
VISION STATEMENT: Triton Kids believes in inspiring young singers to explore the joy of singing, teamwork, musicianship, self-expression, and friendship through an environment that supports all children regardless of their cultural, ethnical, and economical background.
